History, Pain, and A Place Everyone Wants to Visit.
This week I had my first face to face history class. This again confirmed why I am not a History major. I think the lectures will at least be bearable, but unfortunately, the teacher has some very distracting habits: pulling up his pants every five seconds or tucking in his shirt every ten seconds. Hopefully, this will get less distracting over time.
The other thing that happened this week was on Thursday about 45 minutes after I got there, I sat down in a chair and pinched a nerve in my shoulder. Some of the worst pain I have ever felt. Yep, I know that sounds pretty stupid, but that's how it happened. I went to the chiropractor and it helped some, and then went back again today. Again, helped some, but I just can't seem to get the muscles to relax enough to help the pain go away. Lots of ice and some Advil. Hopefully, it feels better tomorrow.
Oh, probably the most exciting thing I've done this week is take a trip down to the DPS office and get my drivers license. Believe me, if you want to have you time well spent this is the place to go; claustrophobic atmosphere, the smell of cigarette smoke in the air, rude people, people incessantly coughing, sniffing, sneezing, and whining about their place in line, and last but not least, extremely comfortable chairs. It's paradise, just waiting to be experienced. I just can't wait when I will be able to experience such a lovely place again.

I love your cartoon. ha Remember how I have thrown out my back by picking up a piece of paper or a pillow. Just weird stuff. Get better!
ReplyDeleteGet a heavy old sock, fill it with rice, tie it off, microwave about 1-2 minutes until it is almost too hot to touch. Lay that on the tight spot. I have had better luck with heat on tight muscles. Sometimes coming right off the truck I get the ricebag for my neck.
ReplyDeleteI think the officials at the Driver's License office should be elected. That would make them much nicer and willing to please if they wanted to keep their job.
