All in a Valentine's crazed day.
As most of you know, Valentines day is not my favorite holiday. The most probable reason being that I have worked in the industry that relies on this day for a good chunk of their annual income. The craziness brought on by this week is startling. I have never seen so many people go out of their minds and budgets to please a significant other. The money spent on this holiday just at my work alone could probably feed a third world country for several months. Slight exaggeration? I don't think so. Also, people feel the need to tell you why they are purchasing something for someone. All I really want to do when that happens is cover my ears and hum a tune until their unnecessary explanation is over. Never have a written so many sappy, and mushy cards. If I was a boy receiving something from my mother I would not want to have a card like that attached to the cookie bouquet. They will no doubt be made fun of for weeks if not for the rest of their lives. How did Valentines day get so blown out of proportion? That is a question I would like an answer to. When did it become the norm to be pressured into giving something to someone on a random day in the middle of Feb.? All I can say is however it happened business's cleans up. I know some of you probably really enjoy this holiday. More power to you. After working at a florist and now a bakery, this holiday has lost its charm, if it ever had any.

hahaha! you need to OWN the florist and cookie shop and then the charm would become clear.
