Another day in cookie Hades.

Do the stupid questions ever end? Apparently not. People must be blind when they walk in to the shop. They ask if we have cookies ready to go, and you just want to say, "DUH! Look around!" "Do you have any cookies that aren't in a bouquet?" Well, if you'd look right in front of your face you would see that we do. "I ordered a bouquet to be delivered today, when will that take place?" Today. I guess people just love to state the obvious.

The strangest bouquet I put together today was two tigers and one toad in a leopard print pail. I just don't understand. The toad is holding a heart that says Toadally yours. Does this seem like an odd combination to anyone else?

What does the average person spend on a valentine's gift? Well, were I work it's about $60. This seems a little outrageous, but I don't have a budget that supports this giving price. Plus, this is what supports my pay check, so I really can't complain.

I have one more day of crazed valentine pandemonium, and I am running very low on sleep and patience. Just one more day.

Oh, so we had temp delivery drivers today, and that came with temp driver problems. The biggest one was delivery to a wrong address. The mother who ordered it called and said that her daughter had a message on her phone saying that the bouquet was left outside her door. Well, it wasn't because it got delivered to the wrong place. After we worked out what happened with the delivery, we had to redeliver a new bouquet to the girls. A little later I answered a call, and it was a guy saying that he had a delivery that was not for him. The name matched to the missing delivery, but once a bouquet is in someone else's hands you can't redeliver it to the right person. So I told him Happy valentines day, he could keep the cookies. He was happy about that. Just another valentines tragedy that turns into fortune for somebody else. :)
